Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about your DANBURITEX FOCUS smart glasses. This information is taken from the current FOCUS Digital User Manual.

Battery & Charging

The glasses won't turn on?

Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on. If no response, charge for 30 minutes and try again. When the battery is extremely low, it may need 15 minutes of charging before it can respond to the power button.

How long does the battery last?

Normal use (music + occasional photos) approximately 5+ hours. Continuous video recording or sustained translation drains the battery faster, approximately 2-3 hours. Power off when not in use to save battery.

Charging doesn't work / charges very slowly?

1) Make sure the magnetic pins are aligned 2) Clean the charging contacts — ensure no dust or moisture 3) Try a different adapter (5V/1A recommended) 4) If still not working, contact customer service

The magnetic charging cable won't stay attached?

Make sure the magnetic orientation is correct — the cable pins should align with the temple contacts and snap into place. If it still won't attach, clean the contacts and pins to remove debris. Do not force it.

Can I use other charging cables?

Please only use the included charging cable. Non-original cables may cause charging issues, overheating, or damage. If you need a replacement, contact customer service to purchase original accessories.

How long does a full charge take?

Approximately ~1.5 hours. The indicator light is red while charging and turns flashing blue when fully charged. Avoid using the glasses while charging.

Will the battery degrade if not used for a long time?

Charge at least once every 3 months, to approximately 50%. Long-term storage at zero charge may cause permanent battery damage, which is not covered by warranty.

Connection & Pairing

Can't connect to the app?

1) Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone 2) Make sure the glasses are powered on 3) Make sure the EYEVUE app is up to date 4) Delete the device in the app and re-pair 5) If still not working, try factory reset and re-pair

Connection keeps dropping?

1) Keep the glasses and phone within 10 meters 2) Avoid strong interference sources like Wi-Fi routers 3) Make sure the app is not being closed in the background 4) Some Android phones automatically disconnect background Bluetooth devices — check battery and app settings

How to re-pair with a new phone?

Delete the device in the old phone's EYEVUE app → Download the app on the new phone → Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on → Search for the device in the new phone's app → Connect. One pair of glasses can only connect to one phone at a time.

Can I connect to two phones simultaneously?

No. One pair of glasses can only connect to one phone at a time. To switch phones, disconnect from the current phone's app first, then pair with the new phone.

App shows "Device Offline" but the glasses are on?

1) Make sure Bluetooth is not turned off 2) Move the glasses closer to the phone 3) Tap "Reconnect" in the app 4) If still offline, restart the glasses (power off then on)

Photo & Video

No sound when taking photos / recording?

Check if the shutter sound / recording alert is enabled in the app. If enabled but still no sound, make sure the glasses volume is not set to minimum.

Photos / videos are blurry?

1) Keep your head steady for 1-2 seconds before pressing 2) Make sure the lenses are clean — no fingerprints 3) Image quality decreases in low light — shoot in adequate lighting when possible 4) Avoid shooting directly into bright light sources

What's the maximum recording length?

Single recording is limited to 3 minutes max. After auto-saving, you can start a new recording. Extended recording drains the battery faster — we recommend recording in segments.

Can others tell when I'm recording?

The indicator light flashes during video recording — this is a privacy indicator for people around you. The indicator also briefly lights up when taking a photo. Please inform people around you before recording.

Where are photos / videos saved? Can I export them?

Photos and videos are automatically saved in the EYEVUE app album. You can select photos/videos in the app and tap Share or Save to Phone Album. Data transfer to the phone uses Wi-Fi — make sure the app has the relevant permissions enabled.

Photo / video function not available?

When battery drops below 15%, photo and video functions are automatically disabled. Charge the glasses to restore these functions.

Translation & AI

Translation is inaccurate / not working?

1) Best results at 1-2 meters distance 2) Performance decreases in noisy environments — ask the other person to come closer 3) Moderate speech speed and clear pronunciation improve accuracy 4) Some languages require internet — make sure your phone is connected 5) Try downloading offline translation packs in the app

AI assistant doesn't respond / gives wrong answers?

1) Make sure your phone has an internet connection (AI features require internet) 2) Speak at a natural speed with clear pronunciation 3) Best used in quiet environments 4) If still no response, restart the glasses and try again

Does translation require internet?

Real-time translation requires your phone to be connected to the internet. Some languages support offline translation packs that can be downloaded in the app. Offline translation accuracy is slightly lower than online mode.

What can the AI assistant do?

You can check the weather, set reminders, answer general knowledge questions, have simple conversations, and more. AI responses are for reference only and do not constitute professional advice. For health, legal, or financial decisions, consult qualified professionals.

Audio & Comfort

Sound only comes from one side?

1) Check the audio settings in the app — make sure mono mode is not enabled 2) Restart the glasses 3) Clean the speaker openings on the temples — make sure no dust is blocking them 4) If sound is still only from one side, contact customer service

Volume is too low / can't hear clearly?

1) Increase the volume in the app 2) The open-ear design naturally reduces perceived volume in noisy environments — this is normal 3) Make sure the glasses are positioned correctly — the speaker opening should align with your ear canal

Uncomfortable / too tight?

1) Gently bend the temples to adjust the curve (use minimal force — do not bend forcefully) 2) Check if the nose pads are positioned correctly 3) It may take 1-2 days to get used to wearing them 4) If discomfort persists, contact customer service for different nose pad sizes

Lenses fogging up?

Fogging may occur when moving from a cold environment to a warm indoor space — this is normal. Use the included microfiber cloth to wipe, or wait a moment for the fog to clear naturally. Do not use hot water or a hair dryer to defog.
